He was predeceased by: his wife Marie McGurty (Jacob); and his son Scott McGurty. He is survived by: his sons, Timothy, Kevin, Michael (Judy), Jeffrey and Brian McGurty; his grandchildren, Kathleen, Cade and Lily; and his siblings, Paul, Tom, Michael McGurty and Ruth Ackenfora. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
