Markovitz; her daughters, Elizabeth Schmitt (Brian), Laura Gawron (Dennis), Catherine Gast, Amy Sampson (Donald) and Jennifer Brock (Daniel); and her siblings, Timothy Heffernan (Joanne), Mary Janus (Claude) and Joyce Sander (Joseph). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
