It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine Vicari of Tonawanda, New York, who passed away on April 21, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Salvatore Vicari; her parents, Giovanni Ognibene and Caterina Ognibene; and her siblings, Ignazio Ognibene (Margaret) and Giovanni Ognibene.

She is survived by: her children, Lilliana Vicari, Salvatore Vicari (Amy) and Catherine Gonzalez (Nathaniel); her grandchildren, Sarah Vicari and Melaina Gonzalez; and her brothers, Giuseppe Ognibene (late Rosa) and Salvatore Ognibene. She is also survived by many in laws, nieces, nephews, Cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel) (885 Niagara Falls Blvd, Buffalo, NY 14226). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Church (1085 Englewood Ave, Tonawanda, NY 14223). An entombment will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery (4000 Elmwood Ave, Buffalo, NY 14217).
