He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward and Viola; and his wife Frances. He is survived by: his sons, William (Karen) and Daniel Zirnheld (Christy); and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeffrey (Lacey), Alexander (Samantha) and Benjamin Zirnheld.

A wake was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Timothy Church (565 E Park Dr, Tonawanda, NY 14150). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Daniel's honor to Hospice Foundation- PO Box 590 Buffalo, NY 14240.
