Though Barbara may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her husband Edward R. Skorka; her stepchildren, John E. Skorka (Elizabeth) and Robin Nowaczewski (Arnold); and her parents, Frank Schmiegel and Mary Schmiegel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Antczak and Kimberly Kagan (Michael); and her sisters, Patricia Cline (late William) and Nancy Marshall (late Harold). She is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel) (885 Niagara Falls Blvd, Buffalo, NY 14226). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St Christopher's RC Church (2660 Niagara Falls Blvd, Tonawanda, NY 14150).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
