He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth J. Ryan and Joan D. Ryan; and his sister Linda Ryan. He is survived by: his uncle Tom Rowe; his sons, Matthew Ryan (Megan) of Gardiner, NY and Michael Ryan (Caroline) of Delmar, NY; his grandson Luke Ryan; his former wife Patricia Ryan of Tillson, NY; his siblings, Nancy Benincasa (Armand), Lisa Jerkowski (Joseph) of Tillson, NY and Thomas Ryan of Tillson, NY; and his nieces and nephews, Ryan Benincasa, Alyssa Benincasa, Michaela Jerkowski, Brendan Jerkowski and Megan Jerkowski. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
