With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph N. Petras of Tillson, New York, born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on December 30, 2020 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph N. Petras to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Petras and Josephine Petras; his grandson Daniel; and his sister Margaret. He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his children, Robert Petras (Theresa) of Tillson, Suzanne Cahill (Michael) of Kingston, Kathryn True (George) of Cairo and Stephen Petras (Andrea) of Norfolk, VA; his grandchildren, Jeremiah, Joseph, Jacqueline, Nicholas, Jonathan, Rowan, Josephine and Marian; and his great grandchildren, Leah and Graham.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent in his memory to the Rondout Valley Lions Club (PO Box 104, Stone Ridge, NY 12484) or St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church of Rosendale (PO Box 471, Rosendale NY 12472).
