He was predeceased by: his parent Frank H. Cahill; his wife Frances Soyer Cahill; and his brothers, John and William. He is survived by: his parent Mabel O'Neill Cahill; and his siblings, Margaret Eileen, Kathleen and Thomas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
