He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter W. Sanders and Sarah Sanders (Baker); his wife Judith L. Sanders (Armstrong); and his sons, Peter W. Sanders IV and Gregory Sanders.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Bigelow of Maryland, Shari Benford of Florida, Sara Dunbar (Tom) of North Creek and Susanne Taylor (Thomas) of Ticonderoga; his sister Sally Thomas (Fred) of Penn Yan, NY; and his former wife Katie Goodman of Glens Falls. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
