Ortha W. Burgey Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 20, 2022, at the age of 99, Ortha W. Burgey of Ticonderoga, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce Wright and Alice Wright (Suddard); her former husband Enos Maye; her husband James Burgey; her daughter Sandra Granger; her great grandchild John Maye; and her brothers, Homer Wright, Wesley "Tike" Wright, Dewey Wright and Kenneth Wright.
She is survived by: her children, John Maye (Dawn) of Saranac and Patricia Hamel (Rene) of Putnam Station; her son-in-law Richard L. Granger of Putnam Station; her stepchildren, Charles Burgey and Sheila Burgey; and her sister Jane DeRosia of California. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ortha's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
