She was predeceased by: her parents, Master Sargeant Hayden P. Wallace and Mary Agnes Wallace (Bush); and her sister Kathleen Wallace. She is survived by: her children, Mary A. Carey (Mimi), Kelly A. Carey, Bridget S. Carey, Major Thomas J. Carey and Casey M. Carey; and her brother Philip Wallace. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, and her 18 great grandchildren.

“MAW died alone & destitute of friends & family on 11/23/22. She was renowned at nothing and passionate about less. Her animated nature was most evident during the daily beatings that she administered to the souls that she brought into this world, and for which St Mary’s parish was a refuge from the horrors that occurred at 353 Champlain Ave. It’s ironic that in her waning days she sought solace within the confines of the same church as her children did so many years ago.”
