It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Margaret Diane Bence (Ticonderoga, New York), born in Englewood, New Jersey, who passed away on May 2, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hilton and Margaret Hilton; her husband Paul Bence; and her nephew Timothy Reap. She is survived by: her children, Susan (Robert Stacy), Rosemary (Walter Holder), John (Joanne Bence) and Mary Ann (Ken Weiss); her sisters, Patricia Reap and Donna Di Ciaula; her sister-in-law Mary Kent; her grandchildren, Vanessa Paradis, Kaitlin Voglesong, Margaret Stacy, Hannah Stacy, Ryan Holder, Erin Holder, Laurel Weiss, Kyle Weiss and Nathaniel Weiss; and her great grandchildren, George, Grace, Genevieve Voglesong, Grayson and Hunter Raymond.
Diane was a courageous, adventurous woman who knew how to fly a plane in her 20s, raft down the Colorado River in her 70s and survive COVID (twice) in her 80's. But most importantly, she was a loving, caring, thoughtful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
