He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Graves and Bessie Graves (Baker); his wife Sharon R. Graves; and his siblings, Meredith Frechette, Yvonne Graves, Ira Graves, Jr. and Charles Graves.
He is survived by: his children, John Graves, Jr. of Ticonderoga, Pam Graves of Port Henry, Sue Burns of Ogdensburg, Hope Koenig of Willsboro, April Shahzad of Mineville and Crystal Ives (Brad) of Crown Point. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
