It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bertha Gentley Wright of Ticonderoga, New York, born in Lyndonville, Vermont, who passed away on August 22, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Gentley and Mary Elizabeth Gentley; her husband Wesley "Tyke" Wright; and her brother Malcolm. She is survived by: her friend Mary Lou Greenough; her children, Nancy Gunning (Yvonne Lang), Terry Wright (Marie Woods), Gary Wright of Prairieville, LA, Wendy Wright of Amsterdam, Kelly Wright (Robin Thatcher) and Mary Stewart (Brent) of Jefferson, LA; her grandchildren, Barbara Sirchia, Jennifer Bordeau, Jessica Hogan, Chad, Aaron, Collin Lang, Gregory Wright, Rachel Mylott, John, Steven Woods, Giada Guiducci, Michella Halstead, Wesley Wright, Gwen Rossi, Nicole Fosco, Tyler, Tanner, Haleigh Wright, Janelle, Austin Huestis and Morgan Thatcher; her great grandchildren, Sidney, Hayden Sirchia, Garrett Bordeau, Lola Hogan, Jack, Charlotte Lang, Trent Mylott, Emily, Cathlynn Woods, Santino Rossi, Avery, Ryker, Isabella, Axton Wright, Zane, Vincent and Zoey Huestis; and her sisters-in-law, Ortha Burgey, Claris Wright, Cathy Wright and Jane DeRosia. She is also survived by one cousin and several nephews and nieces.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Ticonderoga Emergency Squad or High Peaks Hospice.
