Margaret Molloy Obituary

Margaret Molloy was a loving and compassionate wife, mother, grannie, sister and a friend to many. She lived as she died caring for others before herself right up until the end. She passed peacefully at her home on July 29, at the age of 81 surrounded by her loving family who will continue to honor her legacy.

Margaret was born March 30, 1942 in Athenry, County Galway, Ireland. She came to America in 1958. She was married to the love of her life, Patrick Molloy, on August 14, 1965 for 58 years. Margaret was always caring for others throughout her life, as a mother, CCD teacher, Boy Scout Den mother and as a bus driver first in high school and then on to a cause dear to her heart, driving the bus for students with disabilities.

Margaret is predeceased by her second son, Kevin. Margaret is survived by her husband, Patrick. Her first son, John (Chrissie) cherished grandchildren: Jack, Callie and Cooper. Third son, Tim (Ann) cherished grandchildren: Brendan, Luke and Cole. Her siblings: Julie O'Toole (deceased: Patrick O'Toole), Mary Forde (Paddy), Clare Brady (deceased: Tommy), Carmel Lyden (Packie), Ann Callanan (Desi), Sean Kelly (Anne), Rita Tracey (Sean), Sara Madden (deceased: Eddie), Tom Kelly (deceased: Marie), Bridgette Brennan (John) and Gerard (Margaret Mary).

Visiting hours are on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Hawthorne Funeral Home: Address: 21 West Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY 10532 during the hours of 9:30am to 12:00.
