He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Francis Xavier Thomas and Margaret Flynn Thomas; his close friend Phil Diffley; his wife Eleanor Thomas; his children, Brady Francis Thomas (Courtney), Calla and Brenna of Theresa, NY.; his sisters, Kathy VanVechten (Art) of Verona, NY, Patty Smail (Charly) of Hammondsport, NY and Terry Fulmer (Keith) of Manhattan, NY; his stepsiblings, Peter Sokolosky (Faye) of Old Forge and Judy Riiska (Tom) of Las Vegas, NV; his granddaughters, Calla and Brenna; his friends, Frannie, Franhalen, Franimal, Frankie, Francois, Franswaby, Swabdog, Swabby and Fran Fran; and also, Jim and Eleanor O'Hern of Liverpool, NY. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews and cousins.
