He was predeceased by: his parents, Royce Spies and Joan Spies. He is survived by: his daughters, Charis (Nathan Plantz) and Cassandra (Jason Kelly); his grandchildren, Madison Plantz, Tommy Plantz, Michael Kelly and Elora Kelly; his brother Dale; his sister-in-law Stacy Spies of Redwood, NY; his niece Devynn Sajgovic; and his nephew Jeffrey Spies.
