He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Harvey and Viola L. Dunn Savage; his wife Sadie; his children, Steven (Shirley Bogart), Carl, Jr. (Kelly Savage), Scott Savage, Cindy (Al Pisarski), Christy Hansen, Mark (Isabelle Savage) and Tara (Barry Leeson); his sister Janice Atkinson of Redwood, NY; his parents-in-law, Stanley and Jennie Tibbles Thornton; his daughter Tammy Davis; his great grandchild Kate Savage; and his siblings, Robert Savage, Douglas Savage and Kathy Reichel. He was also cherished by brother, Alton Savage, CO; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
