He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Jenkins Sr. and Gladys Jenkins Ingram (Shelton); and his sister Evangeline "Vangie" Bynum. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Jenkins, Jr. (Shannon), Trent Jenkins (Sharon), Kionne Jenkins, Patia Thornton and Julian Jenkins; his grandchildren, Khemet, Miles, Leena, Shaari, Tresha and Brice; his great grandchildren, Gideon and Amaya; his siblings, Linda Blalock (late James), Donalle Effort, Darcel Moss (Larry), Earl Jenkins and Vance Jenkins; his aunt Dorothy Hines (Howard); and his brothers, Everett Oliphant and Jerome Johnson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and close friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Dwyer & Michael's Funeral Home (90 N Broadway, Tarrytown, NY 10591).
