He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Ferlazzo, Sr. and Jean Ferlazzo. He is survived by: his wife Thea; his children, Lisa Black (Dan) and Paul Ferlazzo; his grandchildren, Thomas Black, Lucy Black and Summer Ferlazzo; and his brother James.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northwell Health's Brain Tumor Research Center in John's memory.
