He was predeceased by: his siblings, Neil, Philomena and Maura; and his parents, Neil Doherty and Mollie Doherty (Melanophy).
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Doherty (Christina) and Christie Crawford (Kiowa); his grandchildren, Kelsey Crawford, Ryan Doherty and Christian Doherty; his sister Catherine (Ron); and his nieces and nephews, Niall and Rowan.
