She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyril Atkins and Mary Ferguson Atkins; her brothers, Leonard Atkins (Florence) and Kermit Atkins (Charlotte); and her daughter Esther Henton.
She is survived by: her former husband Moses; her daughter Lynne Henton Lanier; her son-in-law Joel Lanier; her granddaughters, Kristie and Sherrie Lanier; her niece Deborah Atkins Stubbs; and her nephews, Lenny Atkins, Gregory Atkins, Daniel Stubbs and Derrick Stubbs.
