He was predeceased by: his brother Marvin Silver; and his parents, Dorothy Silver and Irving Silver. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Silver; his children, Eilene Tewksbury (Joe), Scott Silver (Missy) and Todd Silver (Dina); his grandchildren, Melissa, Taylor, Jared, Emily, Danielle and Samantha; his great grandchildren, Kennedy and Hazel; and his nieces and nephews, Ross Silver, Barry Silver, Randi Weinick and Craig Aaron.
