She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Andrew Dawes; and her siblings, C. Nathaniel Whedbee (Nate), Joseph Thomas Whedbee, Sr., Lenora C. Andrade White (Whedbee) and Alice Australia.
She is survived by: her daughter Sandra Elaine Burke of Monroe, NC; her son-in-law Charles E. Brown; her nieces and nephews, Lenora Whitaker (Earl), Charlotte Andrade, Janet Blackwell (Ronald), Adrienne Brown (Leonard), Joseph T. Whedbee, Jr. (Vicky) and Armando G. Andrade, Jr. (Suzanne); her siblings-in-law, Wallace White, Ethel (Nettie), Gowac (Ron), Shirley Dawes and MaryAnne Dawes; her nephews, Patrick Dawes, Danny Dawes, Stephen Juhasz (Kevin) and Dennis Juhasz (Deanna); and also, Luanne Munson (Chris), Cathleen Drago, Kerri Morgan (Chris), Susan Young (Edward) and Jennifer Boyd (Jim).
