He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Ryan and Alice Ryan (Stapleton); his brother Richard P. Ryan; and his stepmother Eleanor Ryan. He is survived by: his wife Susan Ryan (Caposto); his children, Patrick W. Ryan of Solvay, Kelley A. Ryan of Marietta and Karen P. Ryan of Marcellus; his granddaughter Kayleigh S. Ryan of Liverpool; his great grandchildren, Rodney and LeiLa; his siblings-in-law, Lynne Ryan (Georgia) and Harold Caposto (North Carolina); his half-siblings, Sheila Mack (Cato) and Michael Ryan (Auburn); his stepsisters, Susan Stoneburg (Cato), Patty Demperio (Amboy) and Kathy Pavalas (Cape Cod); and his cousins, Ray and Jerry Orr. He is also survived by many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
During Covid his Thursday conference calls with his buddies replaced the pub gatherings and meant so much to him.
