He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Leroy Bender Sr. and Emma Uhrig Bender. He is survived by: his brother Lee Uhrig Bender (Susan Sloan) of Lynchburg, VA; his nephews, Jonathan Willard Bender (Rebecca Albert) of Briar, VA and Dirk David Bender (Meg Savilonis) of New Haven, CT; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lauren Behrens, Jarrett Bender, Clara Bender and Emma Rose Bender.
