He was predeceased by: his parents, Claire VanDerzee and Betty Jean VanDerzee. He is survived by: his wife MaryAnn; his children, Peter Smith (Elizabeth), Walter, Ginger, Autumn, Sean Smith (Lisa), Tracy Mechowski (Chris) and David Smith (Nicole); and his siblings, Gary (Londa), Randy (Betty) and Julie. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many cousins nieces and nephews.
