She was predeceased by: her parents, Adam DeLee and Alma Kelly; her grandson Kiair Abdelatif; and her siblings, Reddy Sessom, Mary Etta Buckner, Liz Kelly and John Kelly.
She is survived by: her husband Phillip Mims; her daughter Angela Kelly; her grandchildren, Tavon Duncan and Asia Youngblood; her great grandchild Alaia Jaume; and her siblings, Emma Kelly, Janette Moorer and David Kelly. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
