He was predeceased by: his parents, Baxter Simmons and Ruth Simmons; and his brother-in-law Timothy Welch. He is survived by: his wife Annette Stein Simmons; his children, Timothy Simmons Jr., Jennifer Mahar and Amanda Anderson (Bret); his stepchildren, Stephen Kirkby and Elizabeth Binns (Chris); and his siblings, James Simmons (Ellen), Patricia Simmons-Clough (Michael) and Nancy Welch. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
