He is survived by: his wife Frances L. Backus (Harrington); his son Stanley S. Backus III (Lori Douglas); his grandchildren, Melody and Stanley Backus IV (Cory); his great grandchildren, Teddy, Jax and Asher; and his sister Brenda Dattolo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
