It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sherry L. Kernes of Syracuse, New York, who passed away on September 12, 2020, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Vance Kenneth Gorke. She is survived by: her mother Doris Filkins Gorke; her daughters, Kathy Kernes and Kelly Kernes Haynes (Michael); her siblings, Cindy Gorke Kitt, Linda Gorke Stanley and Vance K. Gorke, Jr. (Lisa); and her grandsons, Clement Keith Stevens, III, Michael Haynes, Jr., Joshua Haynes, Kenneth Williams Kernes Smith and Jackson Long, Jr.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
