She was predeceased by: her parents, Grant Austin and Inelda Austin (Cox); her husband Donald Payment; and her brother Alvin Austin. She is survived by: her children, Ryan Payment and Nicole Peters; her sister Valorie Foy of Crete, NE; and her sister-in-law Julie Austin of Newry, ME. She is also survived by eight grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sherry's memory may be made to the March of Dimes, an organization that helped Sherry as she grew up while managing the effects of cerebral palsy.
