He is survived by: his children, Gloria Hart, Pauline Smith, Sherry Morris (Willie), Kim Smith, Tara Hill, Dawn Smith and Roger Smith (Bessie); his sister Laura Smith; his siblings-in-law, John Walker Jr. (Curry) and Veronise Curry of Syracuse; and his grandchildren, Keisha, Niosha, Dominique, Deneana, Roger Jr., Areeca, Ciarra, Dennisha, Cherry, Daquan, Shakira, Zion, Zonaria, Zayasia and Imani. He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren.
