He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Simmonds; his children, Nathan Heilmann and Ashley Renlund; his children-in-law, Katka Heilmann and Peter Renlund; and his grandchildren, Evelina, Eliaš Heilmann, Adrian and Oliver Renlund.
