He is survived by: his children, Cherie and Rodney Jr.; his siblings, Alice Thompson, Lucille Thain, Ophelia Mitchell, Patricia Deer, Alex, John, Andy and Tom Deer; his grandchildren, Emily, Amanda, Rodney III, Ashley and Nicole; and his great grandchildren, Katlyn, MaKayla, Jamie, Ayden and Julie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
