He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril Wengert and Lottie Wengert; and his siblings, Ward Wengert (Ree), James "Jimmy" Wengert, Marilyn Gatewood (Robert) and Janet Sue Wengert.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Chris Young (Andy), Brian Wengert (Margie), Margaret Miles (Tim), Deidre Prince (Tony), John Wengert (Marjorie) and Elyzabeth Gannon (Joe); his grandchildren, Jessica (Travis), Andrew, Lottie (John), Robert, Sarah, Laura, Patrick, Sean, Katie, Anthony, Nicholas, Rebecca, Peter, Meghan and Shane; his great grandchild Louisa; and his sister Shirley Shupe.
