He is survived by: his parents, George Backus (Anne) of Fayetteville, NY and Hilda Backus of Liverpool, NY; his siblings, Donald Backus (Deanna) of Baldwinsville, NY and Kathleen Backus Alibrandi of Pittsford, NY.; his sons, Joshua Backus (Jessica), Daniel Backus and Travis Backus; and his granddaughter Margot.
