He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hastings and Olive Hastings; his wife Mary Mil; his daughters, Kathleen Hastings and Debra Head; and his siblings, Donald, James Hastings and Joanne Balstra.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lorraine Willoughby and Karen Dunn; and his brother Gerald Hastings (Doreen). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
