He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gaffney and Louise Gaffney; his wife Clare Elizabeth Cosgrove; his siblings, Patricia and Wayne; and his daughter-in-law Mary.
He is survived by: his children, Anne, Maureen (Walter Groginski), Paul, James (Ann) and Brian Gaffney (Debbie); his brother Kevin Gaffney; his grandchildren, Patrick, Daniel (Leah), Aiden, Grace Gaffney and Rick Proffitt (Stephanie); and his great grandchildren, Regan, Rhodes, Evelyn and Francis Gaffney.
