He was predeceased by: his father Alexander Bakowski; his wife Patricia Bakowski (Higgins); and his sisters, Jane Zysk and Helen Bialczak. He is survived by: his children, Patricia DeFurio (Daniel), Rick Bakowski (Yvonne), Anthony Bakowski (Katie Goike) and Cynthia Gabriel (Craig). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
