He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Baker and Emma Vollmer Baker. He is survived by: his significant other Renae Wilkins; his daughter Lea; his granddaughter Julianna; his brothers, Dr. James (Sharon) of Australia, David (Patty) of Syracuse, Lawrence (Mimi) of Syracuse and Thomas (Jodi) of Onondaga Hill; his nieces, Annie and Elizabeth; and his nephew Tommy.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home, Inc. (1604 Grant Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13208). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Assumption Church (812 N Salina St, Syracuse, NY 13208).
