We are sad to announce that on May 11, 2021, at the age of 82, Mattie Ree Evans of Syracuse, New York, born in Auburn, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lemmie Morgan and Nancy Morgan; her daughter Roxanne Evans; and her siblings, Lessie Hunter, Elevie Melton, Eva Mae Williams, Janie Woodson, JB, John Ivory, Shelly of Cleveland, MC, Bruce and Lemmie Morgan.

She is survived by: her husband Monroe Evans; her daughter Toni Overton; her stepdaughter Jillian Evans; her grandchildren, Eugene Overton, Tyrif Overton (Yvette), Rashad Pickett and Jacier Oliver; her great grandchild Skylar Overton; and her sister Annie Ruth Morgan.
