It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria (DiGiorgio) Ascenzo (Syracuse, New York), who passed away on May 3, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Augustino DiGiorgio and Graziella DiGiorgio (D'Angelo); her husband Donato Ascenzo; her grandson Brian Barbuto; and her siblings, Franco, Antonio, Luciano DiGiorgio and Elia Mastrodicasa.
She is survived by: her children, John Frank Ascenzo (Nancy), Silvio Ascenzo (Laurie), Loredana Stone (Jim), Maurizio Ascenzo and Denise Falso (Anthony); her grandsons, John (Marta) and Ross Ascenzo (Alyssa); her children, Jeffrey Ascenzo (Maria), Kerry Gehm (Brian), Claudia Macko (Robert), Alyssa DeCarr (Dustin), Christian Ascenzo, Selena Ascenzo, Enzo, Sergio and Giuliana Falso; and her sister Angela Cirillo. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
