She is survived by: her children, Bennie Mae Edwards-Rucker and David Gifondorwa (Aquanetta); her stepson Willie D. Pierce III; her grandchildren, Jeffrey L. Lott, Jr., Ayla M. Edwards-Pritchard and Daniel Amir Gifondorwa; her great grandchildren, Xanariah X. Lott and Jeffrey L. Lott III; and her siblings, Elda Edwards, Rona Edwards-Keeton, Darrel Edwards, Leslyn Edwards-Brown and Shirley Gordand (David). She is also survived by great grandchildren, Godchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
