Loretta A. Harris Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Loretta A. Harris of Syracuse, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 4, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Malcom Harris; her parents, John Gibson and Pauline Gibson; her stepfather Jarvis Chrisjohn; her grandsons, Kenny Leaf, Ryan Gibson and Octavian Henderson; her siblings, Barbara Reeves, Doreen Davis, Clayton, Lester, Marion Chrisjohn, Sally, Rosie Doctor and John Gibson Jr.; her son-in-law Richard Tarbell; and her close friend Anna Dwyer.
She is survived by: her children, Andrea Schell, Verda Tarbell, Reatha Jalbert (Don), Phillip Gibson (Melanie), Teresa Wilmot (Tom) and Sheila Gibson; her cousin Muriel Lewis; and her niece Shelby Wilkinson. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Butler-Badman Funeral Home (4504 W Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, NY 13215).
