He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonid Brunez and Klara Brunez (Wernyhor); and his brother Nicholas Brunez. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Anderson; his children, Laura Martinez (Nicolaz) and Nicholas Brunez; his grandchildren, Megan, Alexander and Madelyn Martinez; and his sisters-in-law, Gail Weininger (Jack), Joyce Gayne (Bob), Linda Harrigan, Joan Frederickson (Richard) and Terri Anderson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
