Cummings Sr. and Verdean Cummings; her parents, Reverend Sherman J Cummings Sr. and Verdean Cummings; her brother Gregory N Allbright; her mother-in-law Maggie Patterson; her sisters, Jennifer Randle, Joyce Littleton and Hattie Nance; her son-in-law Michael Ash; and her grandson Adonis Xavier Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, Aretha Lagreer Cummings, Danielle Verdean Mitchell and Joseph Cummings (Lequinn); her siblings, Richard Birden (Linda), Linda Cummings, Pamela Williams (Steve), Melissa Evans (Ransom), Dara Tabor, Wanda and Sheila Turner (Bud); her godmother Louisa Perry; her grandchildren, Jasmine James (Bernard), Jaleel Cummings, Nathaniel Cummings, Adawna Pitts, Amazhalia Cummings, Jacob Cummings, Tahjie Lovely Cummings, Lameer Bobby Cummings and Jole Cummings; her great grandchildren, Aubrey James, Alexander "Brody" James and Nyzhi Love Cummings; and her godchildren, Deion "God Poppy" Patterson, Jauniece Randle, Ashley Rudolph, Della Smith, Felicia Burton, Zephaneea Thompson, Emily Worley, Jerri Lynn Wilhite and Pauline Smith. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and a host of adopted children.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Tucker Missionary Baptist Church (515 Oakwood Ave, Syracuse, NY 13205-1131). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
