Josiah Darling Obituary

Josiah Darling, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully in his mother's arms on February 11th, 2022. He was born October 2, 2020 to Samantha Darling and Askia Pettiford. His favorite things were his sisters, his cat, and laughing with his family.

He is survived by his mother, Samantha; father, Askia; sisters, Christina Darling and Brandi Daniels; cat, Brooklyn; grandparents, Thomas Darling Jr., Joan Darling, Sherry Mittower, Darryl E. Pettiford, and Patrice Pettiford; along with aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His family would like to extend their gratitude to CHOICES Pediatric Palliative Care Team, Nascentia Health, and Hospice of Central New York and the Finger Lakes for their support for Josiah and his family.

Calling hours are Wednesday, February 16th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Farone & Son Inc Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with a burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
