He was predeceased by: his wife Mary. He is survived by: his children, Tim Makuch and Misty Cree; his sisters, Judy Kaulback and Nancy Buckshot; and his grandchildren, Kennedy, Evan Makuch and Joey Birchler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
