He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Ranieri and Rose Ranieri (Maduri); his wife Assunta "Sue" (Zingaro); and his siblings, Dominic and Mary.
He is survived by: his children, Richard (Mary Ellen), Joseph, Jr. (Patricia), Teresa Filipski (Michael) and Mary Rose (Jon Fox); his siblings-in-law, Anne Zingaro, Rose Fedrizzi and Louis Zingaro; and his grandchildren, Matt Ranieri (Dominique Guarino), Elizabeth Wheeler (Brett), Alison Ranieri, Marcia Ranieri, Mike Ranieri (Kaitlyn), Mark Ranieri (Nina), Kristen Dougherty (Tim), John Filipski (Diana) and Elise Ranieri. He is also survived by great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
